Midrealm No. 5
Words by Cinaed Ulric Amhranai tan Briongloid
To the tune of: Mambo No. 5 by Lou
Bega
Lords and Ladies, This is Midrealm No. 5
Un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq Everybody's in their
garb, so ya know what I think, Gonna, travel the whole wide Kingdom. The boys say they want to armor up But I’d
rather go to R.U.M.
Meadbuzz like a gun does report; I must stay alert ‘cause I’m in court. I like
heraldry, calligraphy, fencing and heavy And as I pack, for events I’m gettin’ ready.
So what can I
say, I like takin’ oaths, my Lord. To me serving it's just like sport. Any dinin’ fly, let me camp in a
shack hut, Now play on the sackbut:
A bit of Crystal Ball, dance the night away, Headin’ o’er to
Sternfeld for Simple Day, At the Flame for a Christmas Tourney, A little bit of 12th Night at Tree-Girt-Sea, Warriors
& Warlords, charge into the frays, A bit of Wing-ed Hills and Harvest Days, A bit of Tyger Hunt, hold on to your
helm, A little bit of that makes it Midrealm
Midrealm No. 5
Go forward, turn around, and head back to
home ground. Do it three times more Up and down that floor! Kick your inner leg up Each time that you slack. Once
at hall head and once at the back. Paw your right leg once, Turn left towards the wall, And if it looks like this Then
you’re doing Horse Bransle.
A bit of Crystal Ball, dance the night away, Headin’ o’er to Sternfeld
for Simple Day, At the Flame for a Christmas Tourney, A little bit of 12th Night at Tree-Girt-Sea, Warriors &
Warlords, charge into the frays, A bit of Wing-ed Hills and Harvest Days, A bit of Tyger Hunt, hold on to your helm, A
little bit of that makes it Midrealm
Sackbutt... The Sackbutt! Midrealm No. 5
(chorus change up)
Third
oldest kingdom, we hold dear. Birthed a few others, o’er the years. First to leave was our child Calontir, Next
was northeastern Ealdormere. The next great child that we did yield, Was that shining star, Northshield. A long bit
of history that overwhelms, And all of that makes it Midrealm.
You know we sing “Draco Invictus!”
to our King. Foes can run and foes can hide, But we all know dragons fill the sky.
A bit of Crystal Ball, dance
the night away, Headin’ o’er to Sternfeld for Simple Day, At the Flame for a Christmas Tourney, A little
bit of 12th Night at Tree-Girt-Sea, Warriors & Warlords, charge into the frays, A bit of Wing-ed Hills and Harvest
Days, A bit of Tyger Hunt, hold on to your helm, A little bit of that makes it Midrealm!
