This is the Abbey of St. Ulric the Eclectic, home of the infamous Jonathan-Jetski Thorn.
Click on the pages available, or the "map" below, to see what makes Bro. Thorn tick. Thank you so much
for visiting. We hope you return often and travel safely when not here. "Ehaegem uf eh!"- Your blessings upon
you.
Cináed's Cell – This is the room of my persona, Cináed Ulric, Amhranai tan Briongloid and my adventures in the Renaissance re-enactment
group, the Society for Creative Anachronism.
JT's Cell - my room about reading tarot cards and other prediction items.
Harlequinn’s Cell-He’s become such a fixture of the place, he needed his own room. It’s all about my cat, folks, and links he might like.
Guest Cell – This room is where my friends stay when they come to visit.Currently
there’s three large (very large) frames with pictures of my friends.
Dining Hall – Like any home, the dining hall is the communication hub. Here one
can see what my schedule is, what celebrations are going on in the Abbey, and a recipe of the month. Also posted in the Dining Hall is the Shunning List, which contains places & people I think folks should boycott
and why; The Liturgical Calendar where one can look up information on the holidays we celebrate here at the Abbey; and The Abbey's Divine Cookbook - a list of recipes of life, friendship, etc.
Theatre– In the theatre there is my acting resume and information about plays & musicals I enjoy.
Choir Loft – The music room of the Abbey. It contains information about Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Cináed’s Songbook, midi links, and more.
Native American Hall- This room is about my family's Native American heritage and other articles concerning aboriginal Americans.
Compass Hall – This room is all about Freemasonry, its appendant bodies, and rebuttals against statements that
claim it’s an occult.
Audience Chamber – In the chamber one may meet HRM Padraig Singer and learn about the Kingdom of Ewecadmia. He is a persona I play for parties and civic functions;A way to have royalty at your event without paying thousands of dollars for it.
Banner Hall–In June the courtyard displays many flags of the American Revolution and
personal heritage. After flag day, where does one keep them all?It is in this room.Stop by and learn what each flag is and
for what it stands. Just off of Banner Hall is Anthem Alcove. This room simply lists the lyrics to the National Anthem of America:
The Star Spangled Banner.Well, actually it’s the first verse and then
my favorite “second” verse that someone else has created.
Peace Parlor – In this room one may learn about the seven day holiday I created dedicate to world peace called, Siochan (shee-oh-kAn).
Map Room – In this room are a bunch of links to places I like, or people and places referred to in the Abbey and their
sites on the world wide web (my links area).
Library – As with most libraries, mine contains a plethora of information:my
poetry, several pages on my feelings on things, scary paranormal stories from JT, information on various items, and web awards
the Abbey gives out, and my opinions on various subjects.
Observatory - High above the library, there sits an half domed room that is the Observatory. A wonderous place to study and look
at the stars and planets. it also contains the Armed Services Window, a special stained glass window dedicated to active and veteran members of the armed services
The Dungeon- Across from the Observatory, no not room wise, just across from it in a seperate tower, is the Dungeon. It's not a
real one, but it is full of real devices. St. Ulric built a museum of these devices to show folks how bad folks can
get and to demonstrate that we should never get this bad in treatment of humanity ever again.
Sanctuary – The founder of this Abbey appears to have been quite eclectic as the Sanctuary shows. The Sanctuary is actually a hall that leads to other sanctuaries of various faiths.Currently uncovered and rebuilt from the rubble are Sanctuaries for Christianity, Judaism, Muslim, and Wiccan faiths.Relax from your web travels, sing songs to God(s(ess(es))), pray and meditate.Visit often. If you do visit one of these
shrines and notice something wrong, please contact me so I may correct it.The
sanctuaries are not meant to offend.
The Catacombs– Below the earth, quietly sleeping, are the tombs n shrines dedicated to family and friends or famous performers who
have passed. There is also a beautiful stained glass window that shows the Saints
I admire.
The Kennels - have a nice selection of cyber pets that one may adopt to guard their web pages.
Abbey's Ark - Here is an area dedicated to animals I am "adopting" or are going to "adopt" in support of keeping these animals
from going extinct. It also has links to ecco friendly groups, zoos, etc. to help keep the world blue AND green. :)
Abbey's Arena - This area is specifically reserved for watching the Olympics and cheering for our favorite teams, and keeping updates of
medal counts. Pop in and see it when the Olympics are on.
Abbey founded April 1999, new foundation April 2010
Welcome wayward traveler!
How are you? Getting ready for the coming winter as
we wrap up this last full month of fall? It's beginning to get very nippy out isn't it?
Pardon? What's new here? Oh, well, it was very busy
and bland with lots of boring, mundane work this last month, even though we were so busy we didn't get the All Hallow's Eve
decorations out this year. Scandalous, I know... but let me see...
Well, the dining hall has been updated with a new receipe, otherwise
it's pretty much some new discoveries up in the tower, near the Armed Services Window. Why we scrubbed that down in
honor of Veteran's Day this month and oh, it's like it's a completely new window. And the scrolls we found next to it!
Pictures too! There is a lot there to honor service personelle. Plus we found a whole new tome on the history of Veterans
Day, one can view the copy in the Obeservatory near the window, or find it in the Library.
Otherwise we're getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, especially
since so many folks seem to ignore it blowing right past it, Advent, and head straight for the 25th of December. Head
to the Map Room and call upon the Thom Turkey Boycott Club to see how to celebrate Thanksgiving, or look it and it's history
up on our Liturgical Calendar in the Dining Hall.
Speaking of dining, our cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, is supposed
to be preparing several versions of turkey for Thanksgiving to see what kind we might liiiiiiiiiiiiiiGOOD GRACIOUS!
THERE'S TURKEYS EVERYWHERE! Oh, she forgot to close the pen! They'll trample all the poppies out for Veteran's Day.
Oh, go on insdie, before those things walk all over you. Grab something to eat, tour the inside. I'll be there shortly,
and all of us here wish you a…..
